It’s sales….
It's an established territory that he's grown and expanded with a well known 70 year old multi billion dollar South Carolina based company with almost ten thousand employees and service centers from Charleston to El Paso and Miami to Louisville .... privately owned.
Yeah, it's a secure and stable company.
He's good at what he does.

Coming from the field I want you know the realistic timeframe is minimum 3 years experience. Needs to have a strong GPA as well like 3.5 and above. It’s super competitive

More than you do processing paper work out of your metal building on a service road.
Glad that gives you enough time to play with your toys though

If it keeps your fragile ego from shattering, you go on believing that.

Someone’s getting cranky.

Damn, what a sad way to live
Ummm ... they're happy and healthy and doing very well for themselves. They own their homes and have beautiful young families.
Your comment reeks of projecting sadness imho.

Uh, yeah. And they aren’t hourly and come with 4 or 5 weeks of PTO
Personally, I think you're probably full of shite .... but let's say there are a few jobs out there like that ... they're few and far between.
quote:
HIGHLY doubt it, but it’s possible
It's more than possible, it's probable for young people willing to work, willing to excel, with solid work ethics and the ability to communicate and build relationships while maintaining existing relationships with long time valued customers. It's a lost art. Most kids wanna be order takers in sales ... or either they wanna baffle with bullshite.
Sales people are the wealthiest people in the world. Sales, in the right field, is where the true money is at. Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, et al ... they're sales people, idea men who sell their ideas to either the people or the government.
If the world collapses and you are a good enough salesman you can sell apples on a roadside and make enough to prosper and feed your family.
And, fwiw, I could give af what you "highly doubt." My (much younger) wife is head of HR North America for a global Fortune 50 company based in Japan. I know what the current market dictates for any number of various professions and degrees for kids in their 20s, based upon specific regions in this country.
My 44 year old oldest daughter is an associate AG in one of the largest states in this country.
My 38 year old daughter is also an accomplished attorney who is now clerking for a federal district judge.
My 36 year old daughter is a PhD in clinical psychology who is heading up an entire division servicing major universities for one of the Top 3 largest accounting firms in the country.
My 26 year old Son with a degree in Business Finance and Marketing is ... well, you are welcome to highly doubt anything your heart desires.
I'm long retired, sitting here watching a ballgame while trying to share a little old man perspective ... who learned from my father, the hardest working man I have ever known.
You take it for what it’s worth. Absorb what you want ... let the rest go through one ear (or eye) and out the other. No skin off my nose. I've done my time.
Regards.

I’m sure you believe that. It’s obvious to everyone that it’s very important to you that you think you make more money than everyone else. Helps you cope with your crippling self-confidence issues.

Do you honestly believe that there are a ton of jobs out there, where you only work 40 hours a week, 9-5, knocking down a buck fifty plus?
Umm, yeah. You’re living in a blue collar mindset.

Plumbers. Start out with a plan to eventually own a plumbing company. Unless you're extremely stupid, you will probably make six figures within 5 years. From there you can become a multimillionaire with smart growth.
90% of people coming out of college with a BA/BS have no idea but the dude who went to trade school at 18 to become a plumber will make 3 times what they make and they'll never have any idea it's happening.
