One time, my wife got the TTP and went in the hospital for 7 weeks. She got plasmapheresis twice a day until the 80 mg of prednisone, per day, kicked in.
The prednisone gave her psychotic breaks and she got a mean streak a mile long.
I am going to have to go with "D" but it was not hypochondria.
