The problem is with the actual size of the covid virus. The masks that are being required have too large of pores to stop it from coming in or going out. This is assuming that asymptomatic people spread covid which is still being researched. If you want to wear a mask I have nothing against that, but making it a law and there not being a whole of science behind it kind of irks me.

Link the studies. I have seen that not only is immunity possible; but that since it is a corona virus that a certain percentage of the population already has immunity to covid.

It's not the size of the virus that matters, it's the size of the droplets that carry the virus.

Further, even if some of the smaller droplets are small enough to make it through, the vast majority of masks being worn are absolutely dense enough to disrupt the airflow significantly. This limits the distance the droplet will travel.

I can't speak on the regular elastic earloops ones. I wear one with straps that are tied around the top of the head and the back of the neck. If you're not comfortable wearing the ear loop ones, wear a cloth one that is thicker, making it more difficult for the spores to get through. Just wash it often.

I don't see a law in the future but a mandate makes sense to me. We're running out of room in the ICU. I don't work in there but at some point the beds will run out if this doesn't change. I understand your frustration though, I do. But for now, to get this under control, this is what would help those on the front lines and in turn, would help you and everyone else.

Again, not trying to make you do anything and I'm not trying to get into a drawn out debate about it. Just trying to be informative.

It actually is a law in many states and counties. Regardless of whether it's a law or mandate it's de facto required. If a person had covid over 3 weeks ago why is it still required? there is no risk of reinfection. In countries where masks are normally worn they are only worn when they have symptoms or actually sick. We can't live like this forever for a virus with a .4% IFR.

Oh shite!
The virus is now encapsulating itself in spores?

You know what I mean. Again, not getting into a debate about it.
