What happens when someone has hit rock-bottom, but doesn't want to end it?

Trying to counsel someone to get help, but they just ignore me as ignorant and not understanding.
Person has definitely hit rock bottom and I do not want him to harm himself even though he has not threatened to do so.
Who do you call? Contact?

Tough one. If you think he MIGHT harm himself, don't leave his side.

You can’t force someone to be sober if they are not ready. Just let them know your there for when they need help and save yourself the time

Your definition of rock bottom and their definition are much different

OP didn't mention addiction, even tho that could be the case.
Rock bottom can involve many other things than addiction, e.g. mental health issues, etc.

Not rock bottom if they don't see it.

I’ve done everything possible under the sun to “get help” and nothing helps.

Absolutely tell them to get the divorce.

A few things can happen at that point. If they truly don't want to off themselves and are at rock bottom, that's actually a good place to be. Change can happen because they are forced to do something different than what they have been. They are forced to take a look at themselves and start dealing with their issues. You can help them by speaking some truth and love into their life. Don't lie to them but be straight up about their situation and remind them that there are ways out. Even if they don't see them. It's also important they know you'll be there no matter what.
On the flip side, a self defeating, victim mentality can happen. They will stay in that mentality because they don't believe they can face their demons, or they believe others have created what has caused "rock bottom." If this is the case there is absolutely nothing you can do to help them other than pray and tell them that they have more control than they believe at the moment.

Sounds like they’re not at rock bottom. But 998 is always there if they are suicidal.
