quote:

People in urban areas would be in trouble. People in the way out , almost rural areas like myself will fare better. I feel certain that the fathers and teenaged sons of the 12 households in my S/D (was developed for 82 lots but developer foreclosed in 2009) would band together to protect our little community. I would not want to be living in a high population area in that event.

Initially you would be ok, but then you would need more than 12 households. You would need a community or more to band together solidly and live in strict marshall law.

Not long after the cities fell to shite, massive crowds from them would go after the rural areas wrecking havoc on everything else in the search of survival.

Initially, provided there wasn't loss of communications it would be even more chaotic than after Katrina because of social media. shite would definitely get fricked up. After a few days the government would roll in and things would settle down.

It wouldn't be pretty at first though because the govt can't mobilize as fast as social media can stir the masses.
