What happened to the Great River Road Run?

It used to be a pretty big event.

Don't know, but a group of us are running "The Great Mississippi River Levee Run" in November...126 miles from Baton Rouge to New Orleans.

I think the Advocate stopped sponsoring it and nobody else stepped forward.
It was a fun event. I looked forward to it every year...never broke 45 but it was still fun.

Ran it in high school. Was a big event at the time (early 90s).
