Over and over again being told the climate is going to collapse soon for example. Why worry about the consequences of your actions when you fervently believe that society or the planet is about to crash?
With those ideas amplified through all the new forms of media and echo available.

your 2 main worries are learned helplessness and some variation of PTSD
