It was a company vehicle that hit me . Took pictures of the logo and everything just in case. Have had bad luck tracking down people in the past after accidents. Almost started faking a neck injury when the police showed up .

Progressive gave me more than I thought they would when my car was totaled. They gave me KBB highest value price, was shocked considering I had almost 100k miles

Update: They totalled it. Frame damage in front and rear. Actually sounds like they are giving me a pretty decent value on it as well, so thats good.

But now I have to buy a vehicle and I really am not excited about that. I liked the Lexus. It was comfortable and nice. But it got abused with miles. Think I may just get something I can pay off with whats left over since its a commuter and the wife now has a much nicer vehicle we can use for family stuff. Thinking about a midsized truck in the 20k range. Just not nearly as many options for used as full sized.

$700 “maintenance” on a 2017 Lexus? What did you have done that wasn’t covered under warranty for $700? Just curious...

I've done OEM factory recommended maintenance for dealers for 30 years. Even if you had 100K miles in one year the scheduled maintenance recommended by Lexus, not your dealer, would be about 400-500 MAX.

Sounds like "Made Up Maintenance". That was the headline in the Wall Street Journal years ago when a big dealer group got sued for selling things that were not needed.

I would go get my money back.
