Cremated and ashes poured into a river near where I was born. Eventually the ashes will pass by most of the places where I lived and worked and fished and watched football, and a thousand miles or so after being poured, into the Gulf of Mexico. Some small bits of my dust will make it all over the world.

Originally it was going to be on top of a Fourteener in Colorado. Everyone is too old for that now, and winters up there would be a bitch.

Sprinkle my ashes at the beginning of Bayou Lafourche in Donaldsonville and let me work my way down to Fourchon.

When I die let my ashes float down the Green River
Let my soul roll on up to the Rochester dam
I'll be halfway to Heaven with Paradise waitin'
Just five miles away from wherever I am.

Cremate me and drop me in some beautiful water near Mexico. Go drink some margaritas on the hot beach as I get washed out to sea.

Cremation because it is the cheapest and least involved of the options. I care not what is done with my ashes. I won’t have any use for them. If my kids and/or wife want to scatter them somewhere we enjoyed together, great. If they want to keep them in an urn, we’ll, I don’t get it but that’s great too. And if they want to toss them in the trash bin for the next pickup, I don’t care. The whole concept of what we do with our dead bodies is for the living, not the dead. The dead don’t care, it’s the living that want to feel close to their loved one or need closure or want to feel that they are where they belong.
