More abortions?

Never been a supporter of abortions...but....to answer the subject question of what would help reduce crime...free abortion clinics in ghetto's would definitely do that!

39% of abortions in the US are in the same group that commits 66% of the crime. Do the math, I want my tax dollars to provide free abortions in every city center. Make them as accessible as McD's.

In "the Tipping Point" Malcolm Gladwell shows the direct correlation between Abortion availability and crime rates.

The honest solutions would be considered "racist", so it will never happen. This is by design.

Here's some historical data for you. All data points are number of murders per 100,000 people (per FBI statistics).

The numbers:

1950-1959: 4.4 average for the decade.

1960-1965: 4.85 average.

1966-1969: A substantial increase with an average rate of 6.5. This was almost certainly due to Vietnam and the Civil Rights unrest.

1970-1979: The murder rate continued climbing massively. The decade as a whole saw an average murder rate of 9.0. Even though Vietnam was completely over by 1975, the economy stank under Carter.

1980-1989: In 1980, we saw the highest single year rate in history with 10.2. If you average the decade, the overall rate was 8.72. This was slightly down from the 1970's, but not a massive decrease.

1990-1994 Those four years saw a rate of over 9.0 every year. These four years were about the same as the mid 1970's.

1995-1999: Starting in 1995, the murder rate decreased substantially year-by-year and was down to 5.7 by 1999.

2000-2010: The murder rate continued decreasing and stayed between 5 and 5.5 every single year.

2010-2015: The murder rate continued decreasing and was below 5.0 every year. 2014 saw a low of 4.4 which was about the same as the 1950's.

2016-2019: It creeped back up into the low 5 range. This was probably due to Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) which was fanned by the media. We were told that the world is ending, Trump will put black people in chains, and Trump is a Russian sent to destroy America. Even though the economy was very strong, it is hard to overcome constant 24/7 propaganda by the media.

2020:The largest single year murder increase in American history. 2020's murder rate was up 30% compared to 2019. This is largely contributed to COVID and George Floyd.

2021: The rate increased another 6%. This is probably due to Biden's soft on crime stance and all the liberal DA's who suddenly decided they would stop prosecuting most crimes.

Seriously as the country becomes more “minority” this will be a problem with overcrowded jails, inner city crime, failing public school system and over stretched social services.

How do we get this segment to become more civilized?

Yeah more social programs won't fix anything and that's usually what people mean by that.

I agree 100% but the crime rate would spike before it eventually subsided. When those checks stop coming and people get hungry, things could get pretty hairy in the cities.
