Where did your wife go? Ask her if a German Shepherd is better suited to live in the south than a Husky?

She went to NC State. I could give you her email so you could ask her yourself but you don't seem like the kind of person who cares about facts and such

Well the fact is Siberian Huskies contrary to popular opinion do just fine in warmer climates. They have a double coat like many other dogs including German Shepherds. The undercoat helps keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They should not be exercised heavily during the warmer parts of the day in the summer just like any other double coated dog or any dog for that matter.

I was doing sidewalk project in Enterprise, AL and had the parking area drummed off so I could run equipment without shutting down a lane of traffic. About 11:30, an old lady drives up to the restaurant with her grown son and daughter and parked. I assumed they were walking her in and then would come back out and move the truck since it was still running. After about 5 minutes I walked in to see what was going on and they were all sitting down.

I walked over and told them they had to move their truck and the lady said that her dog was in it and it had to stay. I told her to come out and move it because I was still working and had to run equipment through there. She proceeded to ask me what she was supposed to do with her dog, I responded that I don't give a shite what she does with her dog and that I wouldn't have brought my dog to lunch. She got pissed off and they all left. I didn't give a frick, she was an a-hole.

This guy is right, if Huskies are having issues outside from heat, so are other dogs. It's called bad owners leaving their dogs outside in high heat.

Double coat dog owner myself...

That's the unfortunate thing about the internet. People think they no longer need professional opinion because they have google. That's how we end up with anti-vaxxers, 9/11 truthers, and southern Siberian husky apologists. The saddest part is that those poor dogs don't have a voice to speak up for themselves

Better to have people bringing in their dogs whether big or small than whiney bitches who go through life thinking their calling is to be sidewalk monitors. Eat shite and die.
