curious as to what all would be covered by VA if a kid enlisted and part of the deal was college costs post enlistment, is there a $ limit since the aviation curriculum is more costly than a conventional degree? my son wants to fly and am looking at options and want to steer clear of being the "this is the best way" dad, even though I know what the best way is

I really don't know.

If I had to do it all over again I'd enlist in the air guard after high school, keep my nose clean and be a good little airman working on engines or loading bombs or something, then get a real degree in business or something and get hired on by the unit as a pilot once I graduate.

But that's just me.
