Umm, that's bullshite. Who has worse food than the Brits? Maybe the Slavs, but that's about it. I don't think any British person would say their cuisine is better than ours, especially from the sheer variety.
Jeremy Clarkson never shuts up about it, saying that all we do is put cheese on everything.
Oh, and they also think we're all fat, which is true in many cases.

Most of the Brits I know are quite fond of Americans in general, although to a person they don't think too much of Republican politicians. Not from a philosophical standpoint, but mostly from a personality one. They just think the one's they see on the telly are wankers. The don't seem to have anything against the average conservative citizen. They also look with with disdain upon the attachment of many Americans to organized religion.

They love roast potatoes, which is basically cubed potatoes fried in the oven... and they pour gravy on everything...

The burger alone is better than any of Briton's food. That doesn't include hundreds of other food items we've created. I've never met a Brit who has claimed that their food is even comparable to ours and the world at large. They know their food is awful.

I did a year abroad here in the UK back in 1999 while I was at LSU, met and English girl, we moved back to America and finished university in the States, then moved back to England in 2004, been here since.
A lot of paperwork and hassle with immigrating, but was straight forward as we got married in 2003, while living in the US and still in school.

The Brits I work with are cool.
Don't think they share their unfiltered opinion of Americans to me but I could care less about it if I'm honest. What matters is that they largely appear to be pleasant to work and socialize with.
