They are. From what I saw, lying about hours worked is about at prevalent as those that lie about salary

That’s in your experience though, which is not indicative of everyone’s experience.

Surely you can admit that.

If you are in any kind of salary position that is important your arse should be working at least 45 hours a week.
Must be a federal government worker. LOL

There's an ole baw from around here that just retired from Dow after 30 years..... he's bringing home $7,100 a month as a retired electrician. He's not even 55 yet.

I've never heard of a pension that you could collect on, in good health, before the age of 55.

I guess. I just have my suspicions it holds true across the board

"frick man, last week was brutal. Put in 64 hours"-Staff auditor

As a senior, I look at hours report, he put in a cool 47

Rinse repeat. It was a big circle jerk of lying to everyone about who could work more, like that was a badge of honor

Or, people can work 40 hours and still make good money because they have skills that are in demand.

You can have your 45+ hours.

But I’m not saying it does.

Do a lot of people overestimate how much they work? Yes. Does everyone? No.

Does everyone who says he works 50+ hours a week have a shitty job or suck at it? No, that’s absurd. Is someone who says you have to work over 45 hours to be worth a shite an idiot? Yes.

1. Salary

2. Amount they work/difficulty of their work

3. Penis length

Most exaggerated things men lie about. In that order

I guess I should say

"In my opinion" if your work over 50 hours a week in a salaried position you have a bad job

In my opinion, I would hate that and view it as a bad job

Wouldn't matter to me

I've put in those type of hours. It was a miserable existence for me

That goes back to the absolutes thing.

Working 50 hours in a plant making 50k a year? Yeah that blows.

Working 50 hours in a job you love making 80k or even 6 figures? Probably pretty enjoyable.

And 50 hours is only 7-5 btw. Plenty of time to relax and do stuff after work and not wake up at the arse crack of dawn.

Yep. My goal is now to minimize the amount of time I spend at work. Trying to do the exact opposite of what I did for years.

I think I feel a lot better.

If the job is enjoyable, you’d be miserable?

I don't know where you get this idea that plant workers don't participate in retirement plans?
Besides our company pension, I don't know any of my coworkers not participating in 401K plans and saving at high levels.
