I’m against all price gouging laws in any form, regardless of their intent or definition. Your post is irrelevant.

Depends on if you want a civilized society or not.
Price gauging during an emergency is asking for trouble.
Without government enforcement of protections for the consumers, the consumers would realize that they have to fend for themselves.
And things would devolve into anarchy pretty quickly.
