I had sketchup downloaded on my tablet and used it for a while and might've deleted it, not sure. Sketchup 2019 now only gives you a 30 day window to use it, and you cant download Sketchup free anymore.
What are you using that is downloadable and free to draw your projects?

Fusion 360 has a maker license that is free. It's a great program. I almost can't believe Autodesk will let you use it for free knowing how they are about licensing.
Also Blender 2.8 like someone else said, but I find you may have to mess with the models to make them water tight if you are 3d printing.

lines shorter than 5/256"
Why would you not just say .020"?

As another poster said, Fusion360. Lookup how to do the free activation since it's kind of hidden.

Probably because Revit is mostly an architecture program so they use fractions of an inch for design and fabrication.

Makes sense. I work with mostly thousandths and it always throws me off when I see fractions that aren't something like 1/2, 3/8, 5/16 etc.

Because commercial drawings typically use fractional inches instead of decimal inches. Any time I need to shift something a little I get the circle with a line icon until 5/256" pops up for the automatic sketch dimension.
For my day to day it's only an issue when architects don't model precisely which is almost every single time.
Eta: when I'm doing side work modeling something very small I usually go with tenths of a millimeter because I tend to get better results from my caliper.
