No wife but a bottle of 4 roses whiskey instead of actual roses since she will appreciate that much more.

Wanted to stay at home and grill ribeyes and enjoy some good beverages. Wife told me an hour ago she had a surprise. I don’t like surprises and made her fess up. The Peabody had some unbooked rooms so they were running a Valentine’s Special. Don’t care for downtown much but Texas de Brazil is next door so I guess we’ll sit at the bar there and have some steak. Love my kids but we really need some time away from them. Even if it’s just a Friday night.

we have young kids, so…

we already did Valentine’s Day dinner last weekend. I got her her favorite flowers, 2 dozen tulips. Her favorite bottle of prosecco. A 2 hour massage and foot scrub at our local massage place. And I’ll cook dinner for her and the kids tonight, “Everybody’s Favorite Meal”. Which includes me grilling 2 steaks, boiling crab legs, making a box of mac n cheese, and slicing strawberries.

KK, after all of that, and excluding the obvious, what did she do for you?

I have given my wife a card in her suitcase as she's out of town. We may cook steaks tmrw. evening.

A blessing...

We renewed our vows @ 25 also...
She wrote me a beautiful poem that she recited.
It is a treasure, just like she was.
