Somewhat related, we were serving free gumbo at an event last year and a very young couple explained that they brought their own bowls because the styrofoam ones we had were wasteful and bad for the planet and would we serve them anyway.
Sure, here is your rice, gumbo and potato salad now move it on down the line, you're holding up the show. About 15 seconds pass and my buddy John says "Look."
They had brought their own bowls but nothing to eat with and were at the end of the table contemplating the moral dillema at hand. John says "Please, just take a fricking spoon and go eat, we won't tell anybody."
