For those who are saying otherwise, the Walmart manager pay scale that people talking about in this thread is accurate. I left Walmart as middle management about 9 years ago. When I left, store managers made 100,000/yr. comanagers 80,000/yr, assistants 40-56k/yr. store managers could bonus up to 200k/yr for a total compensation of 300k/yr. co managers could bonus up to 25k for a total of 105k/yr. assistant bonuses were no more than 5k.
You’re off a little on the store manager salaries and co manager salaries and close to an assistant managers salary.
There is a range from starting pay to where you cap out as a manager and go can go no higher on the pay scale unless you move up.
You are almost close with the bonuses but some of it depends on the area you work and if how your store is classified.

Bellman at nice hotels in NY, especially ones where Chinese and Middle Eastern people like to stay. I have heard you can hit $250 a day in tips and much more in the summer.

Parish/County Directors are going to make that.. That’s actually really low for directors in some Texas cities/counties..

Like I said, that was 9 years ago. The bonus structure was always changing. Large store managers wanted bonuses based off sales dollars. Small stores wanted bonuses based off margin %. They compromised for a little while and starting with this insane matrix that included all of the above plus a bunch of other stuff. It all got so confusing that you couldn’t figure out if you would make a good bonus until you actually got it. It really did get quite ridiculous. The worst part was when they made the bulk of the bonus come from meeting your budget projections but then made your budget projections so wildly high that there was no way anybody could hit them.
I’m sure it has changed since then but the numbers I have were accurate 9 years ago. I worked in three different markets in three different states across the country and the numbers were all the same with small deviations here and there.

Uhh you should always “be budgeting.”
