Sounds like a solid way to run a justice department.

She was white and hard working, only thugs in the commission of criminal activity deserve our pity.

Are you asking why a cop killings a criminal is bigger news than a criminal killing someone?

Y'all say this shite like people of color are murdered in the same way as the canes girl get national media attention. No one of any color is going to get national media attention for being killed in a robbery.

but these aren't near similar situations
They should be. All of society should make a bigger deal of all murder. (not saying the cop killing was murder)

Not at all. It's horrible. But people being murdered during a robbery is not something national news worthy except maybe a local story.

I'm not saying I agree with all the national media coverage. But cmon....anyone with half a brain can tell what makes a better news story for the media. Media has such short attention spans now though. This won't be something that takes up media airspace for months on end. You still see any news coverage about the shootings in Orlando?

I'm sure that makes the murdered girl feel better. At least her murderers are still breathing.

I'm not even sure what this is supposed to mean

What else would you like to be done in the Cane's situation at this point by the "system"? One is a situation where you're seeing the justice system work. The other is perceived, incorrectly imo, as an injustice and protection by government officers.

They aren't similar.

Cops kill bad guys every day. Why is this story a story?

Exactly, no one is saying the media attention isn't over blown, but to make the comparison to the canes murder is silly.

It was a national story. I'm just not sure where the controversy is though. The assholes committed an absolutely egregious act and will hopefully die for it. frick them.

I personally believe that the man who stabbed her needs his life taken from him after his day in court has ended. He didn't need to take her life because he already had the money. For that purpose, he doesn't deserve to live another day and he damn sure doesn't need to be kept alive by our tax dollars. That, I do know.
