Luchasaurus is a VERY talented wrestler and quite skilled on the mic

they do really need to let him go on a good singles run and see if he can get over as a potential champion down the line

Yeah. I’m about to become a wrestling fan. Why not.

That match was OK. Seems like the Jungle kid needs acting lessons.

Wrestling dominated my life as a kid. Maybe I’ll give it another shot. Is it anywhere near as enjoyable as WCW vs NWO or the Attitude Era of the WWF pre 2002 stuff?

His dad is Luke Perry so acting runs in the family

AEW has a lot of young and talented guys on the roster

with the right coaching... that could really be the 1st wave of "AEW stars"

Jungle Boy vs. MJF is a Double or Nothing or All Out main event title match waiting to happen in about 5 years

My mom won't tell anyone I'm her kid.

But if you can deal stuff like that...

So I’m getting in on the ground floor? Awesome

Depends what you like. If you want 1980s NWA or Mid South, then no. There is lots of stupid stuff, much of which is entertaining though.

A lot of that stuff they couldn't get away with today. It's not as good as back then but it has its moments and is generally enjoyable, imo.

AEW is barely a year old as a company... so it has A LOT of growing still to do

that said... I think they're doing a fairly good job of cultivating all the different styles of wrestling to keep things interesting

obviously if you're a ruby red GOPer... just know and understand AEW will cater to SJW type stuff (like Nyla Rose being a MtF tranny who is in the women's division and actually just had a women's title reign end though they never put over on commentary that Rose is a tranny... and had a BLM message to start tonight's show)

ETA: oh... and if you think Jungle Boy is a kid... you should see his and Luchasaurus' Jurassic Express stable-mate Marko Stunt... now THAT's a child

Gross. And why? Not a political thing, just from a business standpoint, Is the SJW market really the people watching wrestling?

Yes its the AEW market. They skew much younger than WWE.

Interesting. I can’t imagine you spend all day as a SJW and then go home and watch wrestling but that’s cool.

I was watching the YouTube wrestling game show called Quizzlemania on the PartsFUNknown YouTube channel... which is run by the wrestling news organization WrestleTalk

1 of their guests today was an independent wrestler named David Starr (a Philadelphia native who mostly wrestles in Europe)

part of Starr's long-winded heel intro includes "he's the Bernie Sanders of wrestling"... and he was wearing an AOC shirt (unironically I might add... which 1 of the WrestleTalk Brits emphatically supported with a hearty thumbs up)... and most of their Superchat comments included some kind of BLM reference

so yeah... young wrestling fans are hardcore lefties

ETA: I should say... Sean Ross Sapp from fightful.com heeling it up on Quizzlemania is still funny AF

2 things AEW has going for it though...

1) a STACKED tag team division that just added a quality team that just got from under WWE's thumb

B) Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, & Excalibur on commentary... best commentary team in all of wrestling
