Thats hard to believe. I feel like this has been a largely drier summer than usual, barry excluded

Get out Darth’s Mom’s basement. It’s been considerably more wet with more thunderstorms than normal

There's no one answer but this stands out...

We normally look at this in winter but it's contributing to the wavy jet stream that keeps storm systems moving across the country.

Hurr durrr doofus, this has been the 4th wettest July to June ever in LA. Acting like it's typical is incorrect.

Hurt durrr yourself. And you’ve had a fricking hurricane park it’s fat arse right on top of you this July which accounts for most of it.

As for where I live, We’ve not been any wetter than usual. If anything we’ve been a little on the lite side of rain so far.

Weather is cyclical. What's happened before, will happen again. It's just the cycle it's taking. You'll be good next year.

Well you can't exactly exclude Barry.

Also, you're right for New Orleans, but most of the state has been pretty wet.

Actually you can. Even before Barry hit, from last July to this June was a 12 month record for rain

You know, the fact the river has been in flood all year should be a signal maybe there has been a lot of rain over the past 12 months across the eastern half of the country.

You’re out of your element here son.

This years weather has been a little abnormal as far as temperatures, rain and what not.

Where have you been?

By the way, your map is shite. Here’s a far more accurate map of my state that shows huge portions of the state are quite dry. In fact nearly half the state is considered abnormally dry.
