People don't seem to understand that the NWS gives a forecast for a wide area. The fact that some areas get nothing doesn't make them wrong when other areas get precisely what they thought.
They aren't very good at making predictions to your exact zip code 2 days out, so I'm not sure why people expect that sort of accuracy.
