If you needed bilateral hip replacement at the age of 30, you might want something stronger than Aleve.

Funny you should mention that. My father was wounded in Vietnam and had to have both hips replaced. One in 98 and the other in 03. He took the opiods for one day after the first surgery. Said they made him sick and loopy. Didn't like the feeling and never took them again. Even with the second replacement and all the rehab.

Now he's 76 and shoots his age on the golf course 2-3 times a year.

Some people become addicts, and some don't. Prince was an addict, so he's dead. My father wasn't, so he's still alive. Pretty simple.

It would be great if everyone had your ability to look 50 years into the future and be as enlightened as you obviously are.
There are a lot of things we look back at now and realize weren't the best decision at the time.
It's just like everyone judging every white person in America now because of slavery that happened 400 years ago. No one knew back then how immoral it was since everyone in the world practiced it. It doesn't mean that we can have revisionist history mentality all the time and punish the current people.

Pretty simple minded.

Prince never had the replacements that he needed, thus the continued pain.

He wouldn't have the surgery bc of his religious beliefs.

Look, I don't agree with his choices.

But to imply that he was a run of the mill crackhead, that's just simple minded.

Limbaugh had the same addiction. I'm pretty sure JFK was an addiction.

So basically someone is Racist because they disagree that 2 popular figures aren't Role Models? Because they were black it's racist not to canonize them?
I haven't seen one post that says Ali was wrong for his civil rights talk. I heavily disagree with his outspoken views about America and his disdain for it.
By definition Prince was a drug addict. I guess I will never understand a religion that won't allow surgery but allows heavy pain killers in its place.
It's a sad day in the world if you can't have an opinion about someone (that has nothing to do with the color of their skin) without being called a racist. I guess it's just easier than listening.

Elvis was a junkie. Mickey Mantle was an alcoholic wife beater. Those are two terrible role models. I'm white so does that make me reverse racist?

'In' for the down vote. Although Ali was a one of a kind boxer he was NO role model whatsoever..

4 marriages, estranged kids, love children, etc...

Not to judge, but role models are more than great athletes....

May he rest in Peace, and GOD, not Allah have mercy on his soul!

Damn. Never knew that.

Not surprised though. You'll find skeletons in just about every closet.

The only difference is Prince had the $$ and resources to keep it secret.
