I'm in Houston and would be willing to play. Been 30 years though.

While we are talking about Cajun card games, my favorite has to be Bouree.
I find it funny no gaming establishment “casino” would pick this up along side a poker table. Low risk to the player if bets and bourees are reasonable. And high returns to the player as you need to get 3 tricks to win otherwise the pot rolls over. So table of 4 or 5 minimum would ensure bigger pots and more bourees. No betting and going all in keeps it simple for a novice player, but just make sure you don’t play cut throat.

It could probably work, but i dont know that bouree is that popular outside of south louisiana.

You can have a 2 trick winner.

The app has been updated and is a lot more user friendly. I play with every night.

Yep, but I ain't following non-trump suit.

Good point if you have 5 or more players.
But you could always make it a house or table rule for three tricks to win.
Just like how some people play with a widow hand or hands if I don’t get any trumps for an additional buy in.
My casino table for bouree would be 5/10 Three Trick Bouree. That would translate into 5 dollar ante/10 dollars a Bouree with a minimum of 3 tricks to win. A high limit table could be 50/100 or even crazier 500/1,000.

Cut throat is garbage. Follow suit is the only true game.

Match pot bourre sucks. Ive seen some guys lose a lot of money playing that way.
When we play everyone brings a roll of quarters. .25 ante, .50 cent bouree. If we have 5 or less we play a widow. If you have 3 people 2 have to play, 4 people 3 have to play, 5 people 3 have to play, 6 people 4 have to play.

Not in the casino. Casino is another card game. Lol

Quarters would be my kind of game.
I remember playing with my grandma and grandpa for nickel a ante on holidays. Those were the days.
Being the novice player I was, I would alway end up playing something wrong and getting accused of playing cut throat.
I didn’t know about the card game casino.
By the way, it was at a Gulf Coast casino, for a short time, but was removed after week because of too many disputes.
I found that in this article where it referenced it because Bouree was also the game that took down Gilbert Arenas back in 2010, from the Washington City Paper after a dispute with a gun.
