Even though he lit you up with a flash several times as you are trying to investigate a burglary. How many burglaries have you investigated? So, you really can't say what you would do because you are unable to relate to the officer's situation.

I'd bet he beat them to the house too...WBRZ studios are closer to South Eugene than B-Quick

You don't know if the suspect is still on the scene. Hiding maybe. Maybe he left. You are the officer now...you have no idea so you must investigate to clear the scene. As you look around, probably in dark areas, you have some geek kid behind you taking flash photos and lighting you up. They ask him not to and he continued.

Ohh fear mongering and emotionally biased hypotheticals....you must've done great at the Academy

Stay the frick out of the way and shut your mouth. That's the thing this social crusader forgot. He was just trying to make a name for him. The advocate had a reporter like this back in the 90's. He was dwelt with many times for being an arse.

All this clown had to do was sit on the other side of the street and not be a distraction. He could have photographed and filmed all day long but the flash made him a distraction. Turn the flash off, film all day long. Most of the cops I know are extremely used to cameras. It's when you get in the way that they become a problem. When the scene is all clear and safe, ask all the questions you like. But no, I got to be an a-hole and test the patience of cops working at 2.30 am on a burglary call. Smooth move Mr reporter.

I just put myself in the other person's shoes and it gives you a different perspective on things. I work in the computer field btw.

Actually. I did put myself in the his situation and yes, i would want the story. But once the cop gave me an order or direction. I would obey him and just watch with my mouth shut.

Okay, then I put myself in the cop's situation. See how that works?

What I find amusing is that the "crime" that could possibly be construed as serious netted him a summons. But as soon as he "intimidated" the cop, he's hauled off to EBRSO jail.

Oh, I think I understand now. It's only public intimidation because he used the flash on his camera previously.

Yes, Asgard. I see how it works and I agree with the outcome with the situation. I have no complaints.

What's the statute of limitations on this? About a year ago, some douche told me to "Have a nice life" and the tone of his voice clearly indicated that he did not really wish for me to have a healthy and prosperous future. I would like to press charges.

He didn't take any pictures of me beforehand, in fairness to his case.

So you're okay with government employees being able to physically restrain citizens and throw them in a cage for saying "enjoy the rest of your career"?

I'm curious.. do you consider yourself to be a small government conservative?
