Correct, they terminated the (air) pursuit on 190 (around LA 983 I’d guess)and we’re Supposedly heading home. Will be interesting to see how “the tail rotor clipped a tree”.

Thanks but: "I looked at a few articles and haven`t seen yet why police were chasing him?"

The lack of positive operational control between the aircraft, dispatch and/or their aviation unit bogges my mind. I realize it's a small helicopter and you can't have all the bells and whistles but they have a device called a spot tracker which is not much bigger than a couple of packs of cigarettes and it allows real time flight tracking on Google maps, message sending, s.o.s, etc for a 150 bucks.

Gotcha. I haven’t heard anything on that either.

Exactly. All this shite about the tower being closed is irrelevant IMO. That’s normal. What isn’t normal or understandable is that no one within BRPD was wondering where 2 officers and the department’s helicopter was!
A family member apparently pinged one of the officers phones when the never got home. WTF?

It might be he was fleeing because he hit and run in BR.

One of the news clips mentioned the charges he would face in BR and it included hit and run.

But they also mentioned in the beginning of the clip that the police were being tight lipped about why they were chasing the POS.
