Watching pelicans land in water = underrated entertainment

It’s like each time they land is the first time they’ve ever attempted to do so. Right before contact with the water they just kind of rear back and awkwardly splash into the water. Then there’s the art of a pelican trying to fly into the wind. Poor bastards are trying to fly straight yet they’re getting pushed backwards and upwards at the same time.
Anyway...really enjoying the views from the yacht today.

I’m sipping on a chai latte down in St. Kitts today. Enjoy your Memorial Day, S!

Ever seen a loon takeoff? It'll take them damn near the whole diameter of a lake to get in the air.
Very interesting birds.

I like to watch them when they are feeding on point that the tide is swirling around I’ve seen a dozen in a long circle go round and round. When each one reached the point, he would dip then go to the back of the line.

As long as they don’t fly into those glorious french doors you had installed last summer.
