I had the fake item and the real item with original packaging and the bar codes were identical.

Certainly not a well educated one. Bulova's HAQ movements are good if sometimes packaged in ugly watches and Seiko is as good today as it was 40 years ago.

Amazon is usually legit for watches, but I use eBay more and best great market retailer is jomashop.
