I saw them practicing when I was in Pensacola for a tennis tournament 22 years ago, these pics look much better than the ones I tried to take on my digital camera at the time. Thanks for posting

They occasionally appear in Tuscaloosa for our annual air show. Years ago an idiot reporter from one of the Birmingham TV stations asked one of the pilots if they would be spending the night in Tuscaloosa (air show is a 2 day event).
Pilot replied "No Pensacola is only 20 minutes away".

A friend of ours used to fly with them. Flew the C 130 (Bert). We got to go to one of his reunion parties in Pensacola and they let us go into the waiting area before the show. Really special people.

Caught them coming back from Smyrna, TN yesterday evening at Pensacola Beach.

Out of curiosity the super hornet cruising speed is 777 mph. They could go to an air show in Chicago and get back home to Pensacola in an hour
