Washing Machine Repair Help

Maytag Atlantis Washer won't advance past the fill stage:
Timer already replaced Nov 2018 with a used one.
Made test cord following this video:

Motor agitates and spins/drains just fine.
Replaced timer again Feb 2019 and repaired wires, still will not advance past fill.

Does it just keep filling? Mine was doing that and I replaced the hose for the pressure switch and that fixed her right up.

This an old school washer with a rotating timer switch?
Sounds like you're not making up the lid closed switch (check it with a meter), your motor switch isn't engaging, or some of wires that you didn't see are shot.
Put that multimeter to work

I had to replace the lid switch to get the cycle to continue.

I just talked to your boy. He asked if you checked the specs on the rotary girder.

After rigging the lid switch, Motor is making a noise and shutting down mid wash now. I think/hope when I spliced the wires back from the timer I used connectors with too much resistance. Will replace with lugs tomorrow.
