A combination of Marci Turk and Howard's obsession with being accepted by Hollywood elites.

ETM's best moments were on Sirius. Quality of content not quantity of listeners.

I think once ETM died, Stern ruminated on mortality and felt the Angel of Death breathing down on his ageing arse. He toned down and wants to be on everyone's good side especially vapid, self -important celebrities to feel accepted by the Hollywood inner circle and justify his existence.

And at this point, he's down to 3 days a week.

I still like it. He's still the greatest interview ever.

Rush has more talent in his pinky then Stern does in his whole person.

Howard is an amazing interviewer, but he is also extremely insecure. His desire to be loved by the mainstream celebrities led to the "End" of the show a while back. The show is still pretty awesome, but Howard definitely turned his back on the fans that made him who he his because of his desire to fit in with the Hamptons and Hollywood crowd.

Artie Lang tells it better than anyone ever could (admittedly, Artie may have a bit of an ax to grind).

Personally, I still like the show, but I can see why others think differently.

Timeline matches up. The interviews are now the best part of the show.

The intraoffice banter is lame as frick and keeping me from listening as much. The Ronnie and the mhemet, and On and on. It’s boring.

I do too but it's just not as good. The other channel that used to have opie and Anthony is actually better

Doesn't his sort of humor stop working when you get to a certain age?

What is hip and funny at 25 or 35 just sounds immature at 65.

I didn't listen much to Howard Stern. I thought he was a little over the top for this old fart. But, someone showed me his interview with Megyn Kelly where he got her to talk about her sex life. I found that...exciting to say the least !

That was the beginning. Interviewing Ellen Degeneres was the final nail though. He's also backed down with his hatred of Imus. Might as well get chummy with Leno and OJ while he's at it.

I can't listen to him anymore unless he's interviewing, which doesn't seem to be very often. I enjoy Craig Ferguson on the ride home on 103
