I know of 60k who did not run. But you are correct, a lot of them did everything they could to avoid military service. I know 1 who married a women with 3 kids that he did not love. But it made him exempt. Some left the USA altogether.

Yes, I have seen their conscripts breaking rocks with pick axes in the elements. Besides the chubby children of the elite, the common people are tough.
I would make a trade with China and ship them all our marxists for their political prisoners.
