The perfect location for your perfect home. Cozy neighborhood has all the trimmings for a brand new chapter in your life. Outside your door is the cutest park found in Silicon Valley. Google and Symantec are three houses down, with other giants of the industry a few blocks away. Entrance to 101 is just around the corner and Bus Route 32 is only a two-minute walk away. This ideal location is a blank canvas, waiting for you to apply the brush. Two sledgehammer-ready structures are waiting for you to decide their fate.

59 Devonshire Ave
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA 94043

I could triple, maybe quadruple the size of my current house for that kind of money here in Southeast Louisiana.

Give it a few more months and it might be quadruple with the way stuff is going down there.

Why would you buy that when you could get a decent house close to the beach about 30 minutes away for that money

The salaries in that area must be crazy high. Great thing about a career over there is once you're done, just about anywhere you move to, you'll like like a king.

I was recently in Palo Alto on a business trip, and a local said that a two-income household making $130k each could possibly afford to rent in that area...

Which is the biggest joke about SF: they're bleeding heart liberals that "care" about the poor, but they implement regulations like rent control and building height regulations that make it more expensive for the poor/middle class to live there. They're a bunch of San Francisco cocksuckers.

And also regulation. Regulation. Regulation.

+ Taxes. Taxing the everliving frick out of property owners absolutely affects the rent costs.

That's not really far off the mark. There are lots in Old Metarie (Metairie Club Gardens) that sold for $600k and a lot in Lakeview NOLA will now set you back around $250k...and those lots are probably smaller than the one you posted.

So, considering that this is Silicon Valley....again, not far off the market.

I'm pretty sure that area is top 3 for cost of living in the U.S. and top 3 for median income.
