I put this on the F&D Board, but thought a few folks in here might care as well who may not visit that board. If i'm wrong, please forgive me. i have seen a lot of posts on here about kamado grills. For anyone interested, SAMs dropped the price on this grill to 499, from 599. It is 700+ anywhere else. I have had this grill for several months now and i LOVE it. It has 5 star reviews. It has the quality of an egg and also puts out the same high class food. Anyway, just thought i would share if any of you have been on the fence about it.

Is that the Kamado Joe grill or a knockoff?

it's 1 1/2 inch thick ceramic heated to like 2000 degrees and they use stainless steel hardware. i would imagine it would only break due to user error.

My wife wants to make the investment in the Kj grill her stepdad has one and made us pizza a few weeks ago on it and then made us ribs two weeks later. The pizza was fantastic he easily got the grill to 700 to get a nice crust on the pizza and the ribs after cooking for 4-6 hrs were fall of the bone good and lost little to no moisture.

Check the warranty, all the ceramics have fire boxes that crack over time and have to be replaced. The good company warranty them for a long time. Not sure about this company. They might be legit...

I did pizza on mine 2 nights ago. best one yet. i also have done ribs and they were amazing. Everything is better on a kamado style grill.
KJ is a great grill as well. just more than i wanted to pay for the same kind of grill.

<~~~~~~~~~~Kamado Joe
I would save up extra $400 for Kamado Joes on BBQ Brothers. Love mine, cooking 10 pound Boaton Butt tommorow.

So disappointed in this thread.
I thought that it was going to be about a new strip club in the old Kamado's location near Penthouse in BR.
The thought of two strip clubs being next door to one another and the show girls getting in fights while they were on smoke breaks and the videos making it to world star was too good to be true, I guess.
Carry on, BGE or bust.

Ive heard wickowick deal is legit, but i missed out and bought a vision a year and a half ago. I love it. Awesome purchase. I have made some awesome bbq on it, shows no real signs of wear, and is easy to use. Its also great for high temp and pizza grilling.
If you are on the fence about any kamado get one. You wont regret it it. Im doing a brisket tonight.
You dont have to have one but i love my bbq guru as well. I can hold 225 degrees for 16 to 18 hours no problem on my vision.

If you are gonna spend 500$ plus on a grill, might as well get a badass one that will last a lifetime which is made 100% here in America.
