He said immediate suburbs, I’m sure he wasn’t talking about neighborhoods on Highland Road that aren’t in the incorporated city limits.

And yes, he said 40 minutes to an hour, sometimes that’s the amount of time just to drive through Baton Rouge. That said, I live in Prairieville, it usually takes me less than 20 once on the interstate.

He was definitely talking out of his arse. Hell, nearly 500k are in E Baton Rouge alone.

Also, 580k seems low. There are a substantial amount of people in Livingston and Ascension who are in non-incorporated or non-designated areas not included in your tally.

The 270k that live in those two parishes are primarily around Denham, Watson, Prairieville and Gonzales areas.
