We’ve got a lot of pilots on this board. I’m hoping this thread can turn into a “photos from days past” type thread, where we can keep a running pic contribution going.

The views, to me at least, never get old. Some of my most introspective, awe induced experiences have happened up there. It’s almost a spiritual experience at times.

This is one I took and labeled to show people how far you can see on a clear night.

There are nights when flying over central Louisiana where I can see Monroe on one side and Houma, New Orleans and platforms offshore on the other. Literally can see the whole state north to south.

seriously one of the coolest things i've ever seen on this site

The planes fly themselves, you really just need the pilots to land it.

I don’t even think we need pilots to land them. We just want a pilot with skin in the game.

Thanks for posting, I love these pics. Currently headed to a small local airport for my 8th lesson; I’m about 11.5 hours in on my private pilot license. Would love to get commercial one day. These images are motivating. Props.

This was a bird strike I had in June going into Charlotte. That’s what a turkey buzzard can do at 180 knots. Even damaged the radar inside the nose cone.

But did the bird live?

What would you like us to do for 5.5 hours late at night?

Sounds like plenty time to enjoy a couple of cocktails.

Definitely DSLR pics, not common cell phone pictures. What's your lens selection at altitude?

What about banging stewardesses?
Cockpit is too cramped, just get air head. Same as road head, but on a plane.

Yeah, totally. I’m pretty sure we just winged him.

I’ve flown with a guy that has a Sony mirrorless camera. He takes some awesome pics from the cockpit.

Problem is most times, the front windshields are usually dirty with bug splatter and the side windows have scratches. Have no idea how they get scratched.

Thanks for posting. I absolutely love looking out the window when I'm flying, and the sky is clear. My favorite thing about flying.
