So sad that there are some paying significant money to attempt to get an education while many are getting it paid for and could not care about education. Sadly, many universities are simply about making money and not about providing a quality education. Freshman classes everywhere are at record highs each year such that many universities do not even have adequate housing for the students. But who cares? They are raking in the money and admitting students who do not deserve to be there.

It was sickening. You do what you have to do to keep the peace with your job but to watch everyone sit there and claim that they’re doing such a tremendous favor to kids who “deserved” to be admitted because they grew up poor and couldn’t make a 17 on the Math ACT “because” of their economic status was disgusting. I went to school with tons of super poor kids who had single moms working three jobs and they scored 24-27 on their ACT. Economic status has zero to do with standardized test results. The brain doesn’t know it’s poor!
