Idk why we don't still use rat terriers and Yorkies. Those dogs could take out hundreds in a single night

My Nola rat csb:
When I lived in the Quarter years ago one night I heard some weird scratching noise coming from my balcony door in my bedroom.
I had a dresser pushed up against the door because I never used it. The "balcony" was simply to the courtyard which there was another door.
I pulled my dresser away only to find a giant hole in the door, a hole in the back of my dresser, and the rug under the dresser all eaten away.
I was terrified. How long was that giant rat hanging out with me while I slept?
The next day I nailed a metal sheet to the bottom of my door, and littered the balcony with rat traps.
Never saw or heard of it again, but I felt violated.
Eta: I actually lived very close to that restaurant too
