I wish someone would call this what it really is...
Radical Policing
Until Chiefs around the country stop hiding behind words such as Protect and Serve, this problem will only get worse. We need a Chief to step up for our citizens and nation and stop with being so policing correct.

Holy shite, Darth. I'm so sorry. Is he going to be okay?
They did surgery a couple months ago. Before the surgery they thought it was the size of a golf ball. Surgery revealed it was closer to the size of a baseball.
The good news is they said it was not cancerous. The bad news is he can barely move his left legs now, suffers short term memory loss, sometimes will fall asleep and stay out for like 12+ hours at a time. I think the longest was like 16 hours.
He was a truck driver, owning his own trucking business where he drove one of four trucks he owns. That's over as he will never be cleared by DOT again. In fact it's doubtful he will ever be able to even ride his bike again. Between having to retire from trucking and not being able to drive, or do a lot of other things for himself he use to do, he's been pretty depressed. It's getting better but he's got a long road ahead of him.

Man, I'm so sorry, Darth. I hope he gets well and I hope it never returns. I'm sorry he can't do what he loves, and I hope he can find something else to keep him happy. I'm praying for him.
Did he have disability insurance?

Thanks. We go over to see him as much as possible and do things like take him out for a drive or something. This gets him out and gives his wife a break as well. This has been exhausting for her as well. Sometimes we'll just go sit on the porch and have a beer or have them over to one of our places for a cookout or something. Only thing is whatever we do can only last a few hours as he becomes exhausted quite easily now. It's really sad to see this guy who just a few months ago was a giant (thus his name), healthy guy who could out ride or out work just about anyone I know to now being reduced to being frail and needing a walker.

He did thankfully. His medical insurance though was one of those 80/20 split policies though. As I'm sure you can imagine, even owing 20% on major brain surgery and a weeklong hospital stay is still a massive burden. We held a benefit ride for him a few weeks ago though and it went a long way to paying off most of what he still owed.

You're a good friend, Darth. He's lucky to have you in his corner.

Thanks. He's my brother. And as I've said on here more than once, "brother" is not a word I just throw around lightly. He, his wife, and his girls are family. and I know if the shoe were on the other foot, he'd do as much or probably more than I've done for him.

Thank goodness for the video footage. If not for it, that guy would be spending some time in jail on false charges. The cop that shot him with the tazer and the cop that kicked him should be charged with assault.
These kind of cops make it really hard on the good cops that go to work everyday and do their job the right way.
Incidents like this are why the general public do not trust Law Enforcement Officers.

No American should be treated like this by the police, except of course for grown men riding around wearing costumes, who sit at Hooters with their other costumed friends pretending to be a gangbangers.

I'm a biker so I don't know anyone like what you are describing. Guess I don't go around the right social circles to encounter such people.

Do you wear a leather vest when you ride?

What are the qualifications to be a cop these days? Whatever it is... it needs to be higher.

So you want to go looking for video so you can pat cops on the back for actually doing they job they signed up to do? I don't get it.
Nobody should ever be rewarded for doing something that was expected of them.
These days, anyone who actually does his job in a competent manner is considered a hero.

Damn that dude threw some vicious shots, they sent the dude flying 10 feet!

Usually, but not always. Why does it matter to you?

The video clearly states the cops were yelling "Stop Resisting.".
When police yell that they have the right to do whatever they want.
Cut and dry the police are not at fault.
