I'll just buy Agent Provocateur for my women. I appreciate that they will soon make lingerie with enough room for penises but it isnt an accessory that any of them will need

I took a class awhile back that used VS as one of the branding examples. It’s kinda funny to see how this has played out.

Victoria’s Secret got their start specifically marketing to men. Men buy lingerie for their wives and girlfriends. The whole experience was geared around getting men in the store to buy for their misseses.

Then they tried to be “exclusive” with all these expensive offerings and expanding product lines. They changed their branding towards targeting women. And no one hates women more than other women. When the catalog is made for a man to look at it and think his wife would look amazing in that, that’s very different than a woman getting a catalog and thinking she’ll never look like that.
