This Venezuelan man was rescued 30 miles offshore Trinidad, fighting for his life. He was in the water for 19 hours. His boat sunk the night before with 20 other people on board, so far no other survivors found. They were heading to Trinidad from Margarita to buy food >

Trinidad and Tobago recently announced that it was closing its ports to arriving Venezuelan migrants, refugees, and traders. This has not stopped illegal landings. The fate of the other 20 passengers is not known.
