Look, I don't agree with him on most everything. I'm not going to call him a POS, though. He's still The Pope from the direct line of St.Peter.

I don’t know Jesus and some dude who wants to build a war fortune in the Middle Ages or an Argentinian that wants to bring gays into the church seem different to me

1. The pedophilia problem. And it's a big issue that needs to continue to be addressed. And I say this as a cradle Catholic.

2. People are ignorant about the Catholic Church and just go with what they've been told(wrongly) in their Protestant churches w/o actually doing any actual research.

Bad pope’s I understand, but the OT is known for ripping people for much less than what this pope has done for humanity. So he gets a pass? Correct or no?

That’s the problem, there are several Popes throughout history who are most definitely a POS, and the Catholic faith Idolizes them

first how about we focus on the religious institution that’s trafficking children, enabling pedophiles and covering up for it.
these problems with the Catholic Church have been focused on for a long time. Most ‘victims’ want a big pay out - they usually get it.

What else needs to be done? I work for the Catholic Church - so I’m all ears for any ideas.

And I am not a Francis Fan, but I respect the position.

Maybe they should pray about it so the Almighty can heal him.

Has the Catholic church normalized trans stuff? Thought some protestant churches had

The catholic thing is usually to “hate the sin not the sinner” or something to that effect

I pray for his soul. All people deserve redemption

That being said, I disagree with him on so many fronts. I'm under ZERO obligation to follow his beliefs, as they veer away from our teachings.

I wish him well, but I sure hope we have a new Pope soon...one with real traditional Cathokic Christian values, and the courage to stand against all else

Think I’ll just stick with my direct line to Jesus, he seems to be the “bedrock of the church/people”. Why people glorify this guy is beyond comprehension. Martin Luther saw this coming years ago.

From ChatGPT:

quote:

Catholics do not believe that the pope is inherently closer to God than other human beings in terms of personal holiness or divine favor. The Catholic Church teaches that all people have equal access to God through prayer and grace, and that holiness is based on one's relationship with God rather than any office held.

Martin Luther was taken advantage of by absolute monarchs who wanted to increase their own power and influence by reducing the influence of the Church and the papacy over their kingdoms. Luther was a pawn in a much bigger game that ended up leading to a century of brutal warfare that killed off a large percentage of the population of central Europe.

we can pray that the Almighty’s Will be done and that we can accept it

The Pope cannot earn his reward - if God deems it to be - unless he dies

So be it
