The Comet tank or Tank, Cruiser, Comet I (A34) was a British cruiser tank that first saw use near the end of the Second World War, during the Western Allied invasion of Germany. The Comet was developed from the earlier Cromwell tank with a lower profile, partly-cast turret which mounted the new 77 mm HV gun. This was a smaller version of the 17 pdr anti-tank gun firing the same 76.2 mm (3") projectiles, albeit with a lighter charge, and was effective against late-war German tanks, including the Panther and Tiger.

Might be your best yet. Love the dustiness of it. Fantastic job with the weathering. Even the tank crew looks damn good. What paints do you use? Tamiya? Vallejo? I was always partial to Tamiya, but I like thinned Vallejo paints for panel lines and weathering effects.

Damn Darth, this one has entered into your top tier already already. Phenomenal.
Ever think about trying any of the WW1 awkward death traps they called tanks? Those would be some fun ones.

Eta: Shoutout to the unseen figurine running that 7.92 Besa downstairs.
Did they typically have two? Is that the secondary door?

Today I learned “celerity” means “swiftness of action.”

Very good job, as usual.

If got one WWI era tank in my stash. It’s a Meng 1/35 scale French FT-17…

I’ll get around to it at some point.

I had to look it up too. The British had some weird nicknames for their tanks and planes.

That tank looks like a piece of shite. It’s no wonder the Brits lost WWII

If I caught anyone trying to play with my models I’d lose my mind. They’re strictly for display only.

Great job. I always enjoy your models, WW II history buff myself.

Question, why are there so many downvotes to your posts. It would seem that if you have no interest in WW II history, just ignore.

Did you get the last P 51 Revell model at Ben Franklin 5 and 10 70 years ago and people are still pissed?

For some reason I seem to trigger a small subset of people here. Funny, they never have the guts to come out and identify themselves. I like that I bother them. Haters gonna hate.

They really did have some issues with tanks. But, early on in the war in North Africa, until the Germans introduced the long barreled Pzkpfw IV, the British Matilda was better than anything the Germans or Italians had…

And later on, the Churchill was a tough nut to crack for even the Panther and Tiger…

But it was ugly as hell. Its downside though is it could not mount the 17 pounder gun. So while it could take a beating, its punch was limited.
