A few months ago my dog was chasing a bird in the back yard and my wife thought it was the cutest thing.

The bird would swoop down and try to hit my dog.

Two hours later and the bird has been chewed up and is regurgitated on my back porch. Not so funny any more.

He’s got some pit in him so this was to be expected.

Only the goose had a name?

Ehhhh. I first thought this was the petting zoo's fault but there seems to be a lot more to this story.

The dog also killed over a dozen chickens in a neighbors yard, chickens that were locked in a chicken coop. Supposedly there is video evidence of the dog owner in the neighbor's yard photographing the dead chickens after she put her dog on them.

Below are some posts from one of the owner's of the petting zoo's FaceBook.

quote:

I wish we could get our hands on that neighbors security footage of her in her backyard twice, taking pictures of the ladies dead poultry. Luckily the police have it so it will at least show up in court.

quote:

Update: The other owner believes that the dog was released into her coop INTENTIONALLY after telling the dog owner she could not drink on the coop owners porch.
Its believed she allowed her dog into the coop, photographed the dead out of spite and then lost control of the animal as it then ran into the night to continue the killing spree its owner started.

It's not understood how the dog opened a latched coop door to gain entry, and the footage of her in the backyard WITH the animal during the attack is damning.

I will say, they are not calling for the Husky to be put down, they just don't want the owner to get the dog back. They requested that the dog be placed with Artic Rescue, a Husky Rescue in Utah, and rehomed.

Totally different story, but still not the dogs fault.

Love they’re trying to rehome it. What a shitty owner.

Is this what married people are referring to when they keep talking about "compromise"?

Definitely agree the dog is not to blame. I think this is all on "shitty owner".

frick no. I wanted him as much as her. Its an absolutely incredible dog. I've had labs and golden retrievers my whole life and I loved them, but we'll be getting goldendoodles forever.

Sheds way less, smart AF, nicest dog I've ever been around, well-behaved, calm, etc. He's also a really good athlete actually.

He walks himself with a leash in his mouth and I didn't train him to do that . He tucks my wife into bed each night until she falls asleep, then he walks back into the living room and lays with his head on my lap on the couch until I go to bed. He's the fricking man.

And he looks just like this, but bigger (he's 80* lbs and thin):

(I let his bear grow longer though, like a giant schnauzer)

He's golden retriever and standard poodle, but he's wayyyy less curly than most goldendoodles.

Most look like this:

Damn. Huskies usually aren't like that. Was it like a toy poodle that was 5 lbs or something?

Our black lab died two weeks ago. Wife wants one of those to replace her. One like your last pic, not like yours. Can't do it.

Also we have a boy coming in a month so I'm trying to convince her to wait for that. Then she'll forget all about a new pup. For a while anyway

Could be great to get at the same time. Kid's immune system gets used to dogs and the dog becomes his best friend and protector.

My parents got a golden retriever 6 months before I was born and he was my best friend until I was 15. Aaannnnd I just teared up, damnit.

Some of you are saying that all yall dogs would do the same as this one are crazy.

I have owned different kinds of dogs all my life and have never had one kill an animal. The only exception is a beagle that would eat the rabbit that we wounded if we didn't get to it in time. My lab retrieves ducks all day long and would never kill any.

I don't think huskies are bred to be killers so this one might not be safe around other pets after all. It's all the owner's fault.

We still have a dog, she just wants to replace the one that died.

Sorry about your retriever. I'm sure you gave him a great life, and he returned the favor

The hunting ones are trained to grab softly. My chocolate lab wasn't and killed a couple blue jays in my mom's back yard just by playing with them too rough.

My buddies husky did the same thing. It would kill any cat within a few blocks of his house.
