UT-Austin Student Found Dead on Campus

That's a nightmare for some poor family. I think I know that spot, because when I go to UT games you can leave at halftime and get a couple drinks there, and return to the game. Seems kind of in the middle of everything, and an unlikely spot for a murder.

Campuses are not very safe
You have a vulnerable population that probably tends to think nothing can happen but it can, you should always do things with other students especially late at night

That's definitely not a remote spot.
Waller Creek (right there behind the alumni center), where they found her, is a bum highway/bum habitat; however it's pretty unlikely that she went down there to go explore or hang out. More likely someone dumped her or drug her out there.
