Could have gotten stolen if it was left outside. That's common.

Trying to act tough won't help you find your package any quicker.

Already have it drawn up.
Found the parts at the local electrical shop. Rage subsided.

This has happened to me. I had already notified Amazon, and they were sending me a new package one day shipping. Then it showed up at my door. So I had to quickly cancel the other one.

So, they delivered your stuff to the wrong address or what? If so, how did you find it?

Not sure about USPS, but UPS has a satellite image with an "X" marks the spot showing **precisely** where it was delivered. I've seen it in action.

No idea where my shite is, but I found the parts I needed at a local electrical shop.

Should have used Fedex.

2 day delivery on Amazon. Didn't think I had an option.

Call Amazon, there are no wait times, and they will get a new one sent out today with no questions asked

I'm still waiting on a package that was supposed to be here on Monday...

Call the postmaster at the office where it went out for delivery. I have done this and found the supervisor to be very helpful (Yea, I was surprised too).

Called three post offices. No answer.

Last time this happened I called Amazon and they just gave me a refund, no questions asked.

Not worried about getting the money back; I can do that on Monday. Really needed the items today, but I found them locally (for free actually) so crisis averted.

When I've ordered from Amazon and the USPS was suppose to deliver, it's always, I mean ALWAYS screwed up. It will report as delivered but that's never the case. USPS typically delivers the cheap stuff or more than 2 day service for Amazon.
Email amazon and they will reship it if it's not too costly. I've had simple things redelivered and then weeks later the original finally gets delivered by USPS and on three occasions, you can tell it's been opened and then retaped shut.
Obviously there's no accountability with USPS.

I see that kind of crap all the time. Here are some of the possibilities. Some of this is general/informational and is intended as a reference for other posters:
1) Delivered to the wrong address by mistake -- Check with neighbors.
2) You got an unexplained key in the mail. The item was left in a parcel locker which the key opens.
3) They left it in a weird place where they don't normally leave it.
4) Someone else in your building picked it up and hasn't gotten it to you yet.
Unfortunately all three carriers lose a lot of packages so until each seller has access to drones, there's nothing you can do.

Sounds like you live in the NYC area. I strongly suspect the postal employees in that area are running a theft ring because that's where a disproportionate number of these issues occur. It's also where I've seen instances of obvious tampering that could only have occurred in a postal facility.
They need to start reimbursing all lost packages, with the value taken out of the paycheck of the employee who lost it, whether that happened in a sort facility or when it was "delivered". Watch how fast that stops happening.
