Ship everything via UPS.

If the contents are worth more than $100, declare the value of the contents and pay the declared value charge.

If you're worried that the contents might be damaged in transit, have The UPS Store pack the contents with the Pack and Ship Guarantee.

I bought a new RODI system last week and the fricking company shipped it USPS Priority 2-day. I checked tracking on day two after shipment and noted that there was no tracking past USPS picking it up. On day 5 of not getting it I called the USPS, did the verbal equivalent of kicking their door down, and they opened an investigation. Showed up two days later, still nothing ever on the tracking past them picking it up in Chicago (75 miles away...)

I hate those frickers with a passion.

I like UPS. Haven't had bad luck with USPS considering the amount of shite I've mailed with no issues. FedEx is the worst. It's just that when FedEx fricks up, no one starts a thread bc it's not as cool as bashing USPS.

I've had a USPS package that said out for delivery for about 5 days. Turns out they sorted it to the wrong city/facility and had to send it back a step just to send it forward to my location. The whole time the tracker said out for delivery. Only reason I even knew where my package was is that a coworker's cousin or something works for USPS in the area and found out about it for me.

In summary, you still have hope, USPS tracking sucks, and USPS in general sucks.

Generally speaking, there is a high probability that if you actually did ship the tickets and not fraud the buyer, they will find your package, it just may take them a few weeks.

Only thing though is YOU OR THE BUYER MUST CALL USPS AND HAVE THEM OPEN AN INVESTIGATION or else they just say frick it. I don't think they monitor for items that the tracking never changes to delivered.

Am I fricked?
Not likely. It will still get there. I shipped something 2-day with UPS, and it took 2 weeks exactly. Post office is much worse than UPS, generally.

I did open an investigation today but the chick I talked to did not seem to be very excited about helping me.

No. She doesn't give a frick about you or your potential fraud. Despite her frick-you-ness though, she did initiate a process that will find your package. If there is one. wink wink.

They told me it could take up to 72 hours to get a response from the investigation. I never received a response, but I did get my shipment several days later, which I was eternally grateful for at that point.

I did do signature required upon delivery. So at least there's that.

My latest Amazon Prime package disappeared in Jackson last week at the UPS station there. Amazon has already shipped a replacement. FedEx has also lost a couple of packages of mine. USPS OTOH has been outstanding WRT price/performance/reliability, and I'm talking thousands of packages over quite a long period of time. Nowadays, I just do the occasional eBay or Amazon Seller, and USPS is the method of choice. It's cheaper, faster, and perfectly reliable IME. It's also just as convenient, as I can schedule a free pickup over the web for packages that won't fit in my mailbox.
