. Take the deal, arguing $500 over 5 years if you are financing is silly
This- At that point you should have said deal.
If you like the car. Call them back and tell them you slept on it and agree it is a fair price.

Except they called me back this morning.
Edit: To ask why I didn't take the deal. Haha. They didn't come down, but at the end of the day I don't value the exterior package all that much I guess so I'm not budging, even if we are only $500 apart.

Call another dealership and tell them you were offered $26,100 and ask if they can beat it. Someone will likely match that or give you an even 26k. I did that with Honda after spending hours with a couple different dealerships.
This is the way to do it. When I bought our last two cars, i spent hours on the phone with about 10 different dealerships in 3-4 neighboring states. Found the best price at one and played that off the next til i got down to everybody's lowest price. Got my local dealer to match that so I didn't have to drive hours away.

Trying to make a POS car like that look sporty is a joke. Sure it'll drive like a boat, but did you see the red calipers on those tiny disk brakes?

Well, I didn't specifically going looking for the body kit. I think I'm better off with an Accord sedan Sport, if I can get the price where I want it. MSRP on those is like 25,800. I want to be south of 23k before tax tag and title. Out the door, I want to pay something with a 24 in front of it, taxes and whatnot included.

So I'm going to go with a 2016 Honda Sport Sedan. Out the door $24,750 with tax, tag, and title and a thrown in window tint.
I went to a dealership that wasn't the USAA referred one and got that offer. Went to the dealership to whom USAA referred me and they honored that deal.
