This is painful to watch.

Are you trying to imply that our armed service members deserve nothing beyond the pay they received, which is minimal and feeds families all across the country? You sir, are a piece of shite.

Does the UCMJ have anything to say about post-military career shadow box displays?
Not that I'm aware of.

Stolen valor act only covers people wearing them in public.

Didn't the Supreme Court rule that it was "freedom of speech" and they couldn't be prosecuted? I remember that for some reason

What he do?

Only for certain awards and decorations, and they have to be making money through deception.

Haha you can't tell us that an not give the story that goes with it.
I missed out on a coin from the wing commander because I was young and dumb.
Long story short, working gate guard. Hit and run on base. 2 hours later vehicle that vaguely matches comes through gate with front end damage. Truck/Dark Color tell cop to talk to the guy an see if it's him, he says no doesn't match. Tell him it's close enough and with front end should look at it.
Cop talks to the guy, turns out it is the one that was in the hit in run, it's actually an off duty cop.
Wing Commander comes and coins the cop I talked into looking into the guy for his vigilance.
I am only a few weeks at my first base and don't say anything to get my credit.
Still pissed off 7 years later. Will mention this at my retirement speech.

I was a PFC on gate guard duty with another guy and the colonel was an inspector. We were in a mock lock down drill and the LTC wanted in. I kept calling the TOC saying the LTC is getting pissed because he just wants to come in and do his job and then leave. Well time goes on and finally the LTC gets furious and tells me to get the fricking major here and he's coming in right now. I'm on the phone with the TOC and the major tells me to arrest the LTC. So I ask him to put his books on the ground which he does. Then I tell him to put his hands behind his back (I don't even have fricking handcuffs or anything to restrain him). The LTC flips the frick out and starts cursing and walking toward me. I pulled my .45 out and start walking toward him yelling to get on the ground and that he was under arrest. The MSG and a 2LT come running down from the TOC right as I am gonna smack this fricking LTC with my pistol (I have no bullets). They tackle me and restrain him. He's yelling "WHERE'S THE frickING MAJOR AT" and I'm panicking at that point. He goes into the TOC screaming and yelling. 10 minutes later he comes out and yells "WHERE IS THAT PFC THAT TRIED TO ARREST ME". So he takes me off into the woods. I think he is going to shoot me and he commends me on following orders and that he was sorry for yelling at me and cursing at me. He tells me that he is going to have a long discussion about everything with the Major. Turns out the LTC put me up for the medal.

That's a good one. I had a platoon sgt. once that had once been with the security forces at King's Bay guarding the subs. Well, the Commandant of the Marine Corps showed up unannounced at some LCpl.'s post one day but he wasn't on the list to be allowed in the facility. The Commandant and the Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps keep trying to strong arm their way in. He wouldn't relent. The commandant was impressed and promoted the kid to Cpl. right on the spot. The sgt. and his CO were pissed because apparently the guy was huge dirtbag and just thought it would be cool to tell the commandant to GTFO.
